Prof. Volker Sorge
Professor Volker Sorge is a Reader in Document Analysis and Accessibility for the School of Computer Science, at the University of Birmingham. Volker has played a pivotal role in the transformation of developing web technology standards, the common practices by STEM publishers and accessibility support workers for visually impaired readers.
The work by Dr. Sorge has led to the implementation of production-ready open source software technology for accessible rendering of mathematics via aural and tactile transcription of formulae.
Dr. J. Adinarayana
Professor, Centre of Studies in Resources Engineering (CSRE), Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay (IITB), Mumbai
J Adinarayana is a Faculty Member at IIT Bombay, Mumbai and has been working in the field of Agro-Informatics for more than 38 years. He is a Team Leader/PI for various national and international inter-disciplinary R&D projects. He is also Honorary Member of the Asia-Pacific Federation for Information Technology (APFITA); President of the Indian Society of Agricultural Information Technology (INSAIT); and Co-Chair of Ag Working Group of Asia-Pacific Advanced Network (APAN). He served as an Associate Faculty Member at the Universities of Bonn (Germany), Aston (UK), Tokyo and Edith Cowan (Perth/Australia).
His editorial skills are showcased in Elsevier’s Geoderma Regional, CIGR Journal and Journal of IT in Agriculture. His IT in agriculture expert services are being used as a Member of several national and international scientific committees such as CIGR, APAN, ICAR, DST, MoAg&FW and AICRA. He has published more than 100 research papers in top international journals, supervised 13 PhD and more than 35 M.Tech students in the field of Agro-Informatics. He is a Co-Author of a Springer Book ‘Data Sciences in Agriculture and Natural Resources Management’. He is a strong believer of application of inter-disciplinary approach to the challenges in agriculture systems.
Dr. Srinivas Seethamraju
Dr. Srinivas Seethamraju is Professor at IIT Bombay, Mumbai in the department of Energy Science and Engineering, and His research interest includes Conceptual Design of Processes and Process Simulation, Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis, Reactive distillation, Gasification, Integration of renewable energy (biomass) and fossil energy resources, Waste to Energy.
